Let's Welcome the NC Tennis Hall of Fame Class of 2025!

Please join the North Carolina Tennis Foundation on Saturday evening, February 1st, at the Carolina Hotel in Pinehurst as we proudly induct the 2025 Class into the North Carolina Tennis Hall of Fame!

Donald Clark of Snow Hill is a revered figure in high school tennis, boasting an impressive coaching career that spans over 30 years across both public and private schools. His longest tenure being at Greene Central High School in Snow Hill, NC. His multifaceted role has included serving as a tournament director and referee for numerous competitions in eastern North Carolina. Donald's commitment to educational excellence has garnered him multiple teaching awards, and as a founding member and president of the NC High School Coaches Association, he has played a pivotal role in elevating high school tennis throughout North Carolina. A passionate player himself, Donald came to tennis as an adult and has participated actively in tournaments and leagues, demonstrating his lifelong dedication to the sport.

Don Flow, based in Winston-Salem, is not only a lifelong player and tennis enthusiast but also a prominent business leader and philanthropist. He is the founder of the Flow Motors Invitational, which became a staple in Winston-Salem’s tennis community. As a driving force behind three Davis Cup ties—USA vs. India (October 2001), USA vs. Spain (April 2007), and USA vs. France (April 2008)—Don has been instrumental in promoting high-level tennis in his region. Furthermore, since 2011, he has founded and maintained the Winston-Salem Open (an ATP 250 event), solidifying his legacy as a continual promoter of tennis at local, state, and national levels.

Janet Moseley from Elkin is celebrated for her remarkable achievements in age-group and league tennis. Throughout her adult life, she has consistently held rankings in various age groups, proudly competing for North Carolina in prestigious tournaments like the Callen Cup and Carolina Cup. Beyond her competitive spirit, Janet has dedicated her time to volunteer efforts aimed at improving both the tennis experience and the lives of those in her community of Elkin. Known for her sportsmanship and teamwork, she exemplifies the spirit of competition while uplifting those around her.

Ashley Rhoney, originally from Hickory and now based in Lafayette, LA, is a former junior tennis prodigy who has made a significant impact in both competitive and coaching capacities. A two-time USTA Gold Ball winner, he held top rankings in North Carolina and the Southern section throughout his junior career, leading South Caldwell High School to a state championship in 1981 and 1983, and a runner-up finish in 1984. After a successful collegiate career at the University of Louisiana Lafayette, where he gained NCAA Division I All American status, Ashley played professionally, achieving an all-time high ranking of 755 in singles and 756 in doubles. He has also been a dedicated teaching professional at various clubs and was the coach of WTA top 10 player Chandra Rubin, guiding her to extraordinary heights during her career.

The North Carolina Tennis Hall of Fame was established in 1975 to honor those who, by excellence of their activities connected with North Carolina Tennis, have brought substantial recognition and esteem to themselves and the State. The Hall of Fame is located in Greensboro, NC at the Harold T. and Mildred Southern Tennis Center.

Inductees into the North Carolina Tennis Hall of Fame are unanimously selected each year by the North Carolina Tennis Hall of Fame Council. With the induction of the Class of 2025 there will be 119 NC Tennis Hall of Fame members.
